Sara Collette has done it again.

Saturday’s win by Vladykov in the $2,000 Leeds Manor at the Old Dominion Hunt Point-to-Point marked the third win the VHBPA sponsored series for Virginia-bred/sired horses and the second for her Vladykov.  Collette’s other win in the series came with Wahoo.

Homebred Vladykov, by Xenodon, out of Medaka by Eastern Echo, stalked the early pace wet by Prima Facie and Eilidh Grant and moverd to the lead with three furlongs to run.  Undeterred, Prima Facie kept going strong and the two kept going with Vladykov ultimately prevailing by a length and a half.

Complete order of finish:

1) Vladykov (Diana Gillam, owner; Neil Morris, trainer; Sara E. Collette, owner) $1,200; 2) Prima Facie (Eilidh Grant, Simon Hobson, James H. Falk, Sr.) $400; 3) Navy Brass (Liam McVicar, Liam McVicar, M B Stables) $220; 4) Getaway (Keri Brion, Eva Smithwick, Morgan’s Ford Farm) $100; 5) Colleen’s Charm (Bruce Daley, A. Timothy White, Colleen Mahoney) $80 and 6) Prized Pupil (Zoe Valvo, Tommy Lee Jones, John H. Baffa).
