As the old song went “Hey, when you’re hot, you’re hot,” and who’s been hotter than Sara Collete’s Vladykov who won his third Virginia-bred/sired flat race at Blue Ridge on Sunday.  Add, to the Silver Train’s gelding’s win skein the $2,000 Woodley Cup.

Vladykov, with Jacob Roberts up, rallied to catch Prima Facie and Eilidh Grant after the latter had opened up a big lead. The now-three time winner in the series won off handily by three lenghts for trainer Neil R. Morris.

Vladykov had won previously at Old Dominion and Piedmont.  It was Collette’s fourth win in the series this Spring.
