Dale Romans has two horses entered in the $5 million Breeders’ Cup Classic. Fans of Virginia Derby winner Paddy O’Prado and First Dude could get a healthy payday if the two run big; they are both 15-1 on the morning line.

Romans thinks First Dude is going to run big. He only has one win in 11 career starts but he has been on the board in nine of his 10 other starts.

“He’s going to run big this week,” Romans said. “I do expect a check from him. I expect a big check from him.”

Romans said First Dude will be laying third or fourth behind expected pacesetter Haynesfield and Quality Road, who should be right behind him.

Zenyatta will do her running late. However, Romans is not paying her any mind.

“Quality Road is the horse to beat,” Romans said. “Him and Lookin At Lucky are the two horses to beat.”

When he was asked again about Zenyatta, Romans smile a little bit.

“Lookin At Lucky and Quality Road are the two horses to beat,” Romans said and that was that.
