VA-BRED REDEEMED WINS AT BELMONT

(NYRA)

Virginia-bred Redeemed romped to a 9 3/4-length victory $81,000 Milesius Stakes at Belmont last Thursday.  The field dwindled down to just three when the race originally slated for 1 1/4 miles on the turf was moved to the main track at 1 1/8 miles.

The 4-year-old Redeemed, ridden by Ramon Dominguez for trainer Rick Dutrow, finished in 1:50.88 and paid $3.20 for his sixth victory in 11 races.

Redeemed was bred by Wayne and Susie Chatfield-Taylor at Morgan’s Ford Farm in Front Royal, Virginia.  He was named the 2011 Champion Virginia-bred Three-Year-Old Colt.
