Va-bred Pulls Hat Trick

Virginia-bred Quiet Hour, bred by Carolyn Nicewonder Beverly, won her third in a row on Sunday at Gulfstream. The 4-year-old daughter of Quiet American won a 6 1/2-furlong allowance by 7 1/4 lengths, and was never threatened by heavy favorite Nifty Shindig.

Quiet Hour started her streak in November, winning a maiden at Calder. The favorite on that occasion, the bay filly overcame a bobbled start to win by 5 1/4 lengths. She returned in a claiming race at Gulfstream on December 27, and streaked home by the better part of 5 lengths, earning her jump to allowance company here.

Owned by Jay Young and trained by Michael Pino, Quiet hour was an $80,000 dollar yearling at Fasig-Tipton October. Congrats to all connections!
