Two Virginia-breds Pre-entered for the Breeders’ Cup

Two Virginia-breds have been pre-entered for the Breeders’ Cup this weekend. Bond Holder, bred by Lazy Lane Farm, shoots for the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile, while Blueskiesnrainbows, bred by Ned Evans, will contest the Breeders’ Cup Marathon.

Bond Holder, a 2-year-old son of Mineshaft, won the Grade I FrontRunner Stakes at Santa Anita on September 28. Owned and trained by Team I’ll Have Another – Reddam Racing and Doug O’Neill – Bond Holder calls Santa Anita his home base.

The 4-year-old son of English Channel won the Grade II Swaps Stakes last year, and is an earner of over $360,000. He put in a 5-furlong move on Sunday morning in :47 flat, the fourth fastest time on the day.
