Take the Points, co-owned by Schenectady, NY native Don Lucarelli and Saratoga Springs, NY resident Jack Wolf, will be on the grass for his next start.

A son of Even the Score trained by Todd Pletcher, Take the Points ran last of 13 in the Preakness on May 16. Five of his seven career starts have come on dirt; the other two on synthetics.

“He breezed very well on the turf Sunday, and we’re going to plan on running him in the Colonial Turf Cup,” Pletcher said. “Even the Score had some success on the turf and he’s out of a Fred Astaire mare, so [trying grass] has kind of been in the back of our minds.”

The Grade II $500,000 Colonial Turf Cup for 3-year-olds at 13⁄16 miles will be run June 20.
