John Oxley’s Spring in the Air rallied from far off the pace to win the 61st running of the $400,000 Darley Alcibiades Gr.1 for 2-year-old fillies by a length over Broken Spell before a sun-splashed Fall Meet opening-day crowd of 18,417.

Morton Fink’s homebred Wise Dan cruised to the lead leaving the far turn and coasted to a 2¼-length victory over Willcox Inn to win the $750,000 Shadwell Turf Mile Gr.1, the centerpiece of a five-stakes program before a crowd of 22,292 on Saturday at Keeneland.
