Old Dominion Turf Championship Finale Saturday, October 19th

Grinding Speed

The Championship race for the Old Dominion Turf Championship is coming up October 19th at the International Gold Cup Races at Great Meadow, so be sure you have your tickets! James Falk’s classy Virginia-bred Prima Facie has taken the first two legs of the series, and looks to pull off the hat trick next weekend and take home the $15,000 purse.

The three-race Old Dominion Turf Championship series is restricted to Virginia-breds and began at the Foxfield Races two weeks ago. After dominating at the Foxfield Races in Charlottesville, Prima Facie carried his streak to two-for-two in Middleburg last weekend at the Fall Races. For the full scoop on Prima Facie, check out our News post.

This is also an exciting year at the International Gold Cup because for the first time, all races will be Virginia-bred-preferred. This is a terrific opportunity for Virginia-breds to perform in front of a home audience. Find out what the Gold Cup has to say about the change on our News page.
