Member Ken Tomlinson Passes Away

Member and lover of the game Ken Tomlinson passed away May 1 at a hospital in Winchester, Va. He was 69. A former editor of Reader’s Digest and chairman of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, Mr. Tomlinson is survived by his wife of 39 years, Rebecca Moore Tomlinson of Middleburg, VA; two sons, Will Tomlinson of West Hartford, Conn., and Lucas Y. Tomlinson of Alexandria, VA; and a sister.

Tomlinson raced under the nom de course Sandy Bayou Stables and produced two stakes winners, Lonesome Sound and Missy Dear. Massoud, a son of Mutakddim, won two races at Saratoga in the summer of 2006.
