Another veteran of the Virginia H.B.P.A.’s series for Virginia-bred or Virginia-sired horses, Debra E. Kachel’s Love Colony, notched another victory at the Fairfax Hunt Point-to-Point Sunday in the $2,000 VHBPA Cup at Morven Park.
The seven-year-old gelding by by Not For Love, out of Soaring Colony, by Pleasant Colony was never far back, stayed within striking distance and took the lead around the final turn and wore down Jennifer H. Pits’ Green Velvet in the final sixteenth.  In doing so, Love Colony, who didn’t seem to mind the soft going, defeated two others 2011 series winners in Daytime, Snowbuster and Rockmani.
Love Colony is trained by Ricky Hendriks, ridden by with Paddy Young  and was bred in Virginia by Mrs. C. Oliver Iselin, III.
