Ham Smith, 67, who has seven times been the leading trainer at Colonial Downs, is savoring his Kentucky Derby experience.  Done Talking, the winner of the Illinois Derby, punched Hamilton’s ticket to Louisville for the first Saturday in May…

Done Talking will be the first Triple Crown starter for Smith, a Maryland mainstay for more than 30 years and an annual visitor to New Kent.  Smith has has 1,645 career winners and has conditioned runners such as Gin Talking, Case of the Blues and Blind Date, all multiple stakes winners.

Done Talking’s pedigree traces back to well-known Middleburg conditioner Barbara Graham and her family.
