Three Virginia-bred yearlings sold at the 2010 Fasig-Tipton July sale.

Hip #70, a colt by Latent Heat, out of Knotty Ash by Silver Deputy sold to Buzz Chace as agaent for West Point Thoroughbreds for $85,000. The colt’s dam is a half sister to the sakes producer Elsoma who is half-sister to La Reine Rouge, the granddam of Barbaro. La Reine Rouge is also a half-sister to well-known Maryland stakes winner LaReine’s Terms ($804,591).

The colt was bred by Dr. E.C. “Pug” and Susie Hart’s Hart Farm.

Hip #85, a colt by Corinthian, out of Menifeeque by Menifee sold to Cory Wagner for $95,000. Menifeeque is a stakes winner at Calder and stakes placed at Monmouth. This was her second foal. He was bred by Mr. & Mrs. C.W. McNeely, III’s Morrowdale Farm in Charlottesville.,

Hip #263, a filly by Latent Heat, out of Lady Chip by Dixie Union was sold to Patrice Miller/EQB, Agent for $80,000. Lady Chip is out of graded stakes winner Chip and half-sister to stakes producer Offtheoldblcok. This filly was bred by Audley Farm.
