BODEMEISTER FINALLY BOWS TO I’LL HAVE ANOTHER

The connections of Virginia-bred Bodemeister have no reason to hang their hangs about the solid effort the Audley Farm product in the 2012 Kentucky Derby.  After setting opening quarters in 22.32 and 45.39, Bodemeister with Mike Smith aboard nearly found the wire in time, finishing second by a lenght and a half.  Jockey Mario Gutierrez wins on Cinco de Mayo for trainer Doug O’Neil stopping the timer in 2:01.83.  He led nearly from the start and won every point of call until the wire.
