The commentary we recently penned has turned up in a few places and was re-written today for publication in the Washington Post. It was published in the Roanoke Times a few days ago. To read it click here. It is probably the same, or very nearly the same, as the one in the Culpepper Star Exponent earlier this week.

Later that day, the following email arrived.

Mr. Petty,

Hello, I am Tabby Martin, Site Manager of the Colonial Downs OTB in Vinton, VA and I just read the article that you published, “The Race to save Virginia’s thoroughbreds” in our local newspaper here in town.

I would like to thank you for helping to make the public aware of the benefits of having horse racing here in Virginia. I would very much like to be able to list this or somehow link it to our Facebook page listed under – Colonial Downs Vinton OTB. With your permission, I will be able to do so.

Thank you very much, and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Thank you,
Tabby Martin

Vinton OTB

Tabby, you’re welcome and thanks for helping the cause!
