ALL ALONG WINNER SHARED ACCOUNT WINS BREEDERS’ CUP RACE

Sagamore Farm’s Shared Account, winner of the 2010 $200,000 All Along Stakes Gr.II at Colonial Downs this summer, survived a photo finish to win the $2 million Filly & Mare Turf at the Breeders’ Cup last Friday evening.
Edgar Prado rode the 46-1 long shot to a narrow win over defending champion Midday under the lights Friday night at Churchill Downs. Shared Account ran 1 3-8 miles in 2:17.74.
The 4-year-old filly paid $94 to win—second-largest in the event’s 27-year history.
Keertana was third and Red Desire from Japan was fourth in the field of 11.
It was Prado’s fourth Breeders’ Cup career win, and the second for trainer Graham Motion.
On Saturday, 2010 $600,000 Virginia Derby winner Paddy O’ Prado finished fifth in the Breeders’ Cup Classic.
