Irv Naylor’s Decoy Daddy Wins Third Noel Laing

Irv Naylor’s evergreen Decoy Daddy won his third Noel Laing Handicap in four years at Saturday’s Montpelier Hunt Races. Trained by Cyril Murphy and ridden by Carol-Ann Sloan, Decoy Daddy carried highweight of 156 pounds and set the pace for the majority of the running, according to a news post on the National Steeplechase Association’s website.

Blueskiesnrainbows Close Second in Breeders’ Cup

Virginia-bred Blueskiesnrainbows, bred by Ned Evans, ran a gutsy race in the Grade II Breeders’ Cup Marathon, to be second by a length to Waratah Thoroughbred’s London Bridge. Currently owned by Bad Boy Racing and Whizway Farms and trained by Jerry Hollendorfer, Blueskiesnrainbows won the Grade II Swaps Stakes in 2012 and the Ralph M. Hinds Handicap at Fairplex in September.
