Membership Levels/Benefits

Each VTA Membership Card entitles the bearer to complimentary access to Colonial Downs and the Satellite Wagering Facilities (SWFs).

Please note: as of March 27, 2012, all Virginia Breeders Fund registration fees increased $100.00 per registration for non-VTA members. ONLY Secretariat & Saluter Memberships are eligible for membership cards and VTA-member Virginia Breeders Fund registration fees.

Secretariat Membership – $200.00/year

  • 4 Membership Cards

Idle Dice Membership – $45.00/year

  • Eligibility for all VTA-sponsored Thoroughbred horse show and recreational programs and awards.

  • $5.00 donation in your name to your choice of non-profit, Virginia-based Thoroughbred charity

Extra Membership Card$50.00/year

  • Extra annual cards for friends and family may be purchased at $50.00 per card with the purchase of either a Secretariat or Saluter Membership.  Cards will be printed as “Guest of (Your Name/Business Name)”.  If you would like your card personalized, please indicate your guest name(s) on the your membership application.

Dues payments to the VTA are not deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes. However, the portion of dues not attributable to VTA legislative affairs may be tax deductible as ordinary and necessary business expenses. The VTA estimates that 75% of your 2012 dues are attributable to expenses to influence legislation and are not tax deductible for federal income tax purposes.
